Since 2004 Solid Works has proved to be a much more reliable and efficient program.   The current version is SW2014- SW2017.  Since most of the equipment has been built by shops that use MasterCam, the drawing packages have effectively become 90% paperless.   AutoCad is used for developing schematic drawings.

In 2002 the primary CAD package was switched over to Autodesk Inventor, (a 3D Parametric Modeler).  The package was used for over 2 years and the current licensed version is V10
