Precision rivets are assemblies where the joint is not tight or loose but are able to be rotated within a fairly small torque.  

The number one challenge of "precision" rivets is to produce assemblies relatively narrow range of torques (usually in the 1 to 5 inch pounds range).  

In addition to the equipment designs, recommendations for the product design and the process were presented which when implemented together,  increased the yields from approximately 60% to above 90%.
